THOUSAND ISLAND
This is one of Nusa Penida’s most stunning viewpoints, offering jaw-dropping views of the ocean and scattered islets below. Perched dramatically on the cliffside is the famous Treehouse, a dreamy photo spot and even a place you can stay overnight for a unique experience
Best time to visit:
Head there early in the morning, ideally around sunrise, for soft lighting, fewer crowds, and cooler temperatures. The sunrise view over the ocean is truly magical.
DIAMOND BEACH
Diamond Beach in Nusa Penida is a stunning white-sand beach surrounded by dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters, known for the sharp, diamond-shaped rock formations that give it its name. It’s one of the island’s most photogenic spots, with a scenic stairway carved into the cliff leading down to the shore.
KELINGKING BEACH
No trip to Nusa Penida is complete without witnessing the jaw-dropping beauty of Kelingking Beach. Often called the “T-Rex Bay” due to its unique cliff formation, this viewpoint offers one of the most photographed landscapes in all of Bali. From the top, you’ll see stunning turquoise waters crashing against the white sand below—truly a scene straight out of a postcard.
For the adventurous, there's a steep and narrow trail that leads down to the beach. It’s a challenging hike, but if you're up for it, you'll be rewarded with a secluded shoreline that feels like your own private paradise.
Best Time to Visit:
To beat the crowds and heat, aim to arrive early in the morning. Sunrise light makes the view even more magical and offers ideal conditions for photos. Late afternoon is another great option, especially if you want to catch golden hour over the cliffs.
Travel Tip:
Wear proper shoes if you plan to hike down, and bring water—it gets hot fast! The path can be steep and slippery, so take your time and be cautious.
